At least one standard needs to be selected in order to enable the relevant outcomes.
Outcomes are called core outcomes if any one of their base practices references an ISO 9001 clause and supplementary if they done. Supplementary outcomes may reference other standards such as ISO/IEC 20000-1 or ISO/IEC 27001.
To select a standard tick the selection next to the standard required in the 'Standard Selection' area.
As soon as this is done, the associated required outcomes will be automatically selected.
Like the processes, automatically selected outcomes cannot be manually deselected.
The process attributes under the 'Outcome/Attribute Selection' are selected when a level (other than Foundation) is selected. The Foundation level is assumed by virtue of selecting a standard.
Outcomes not automatically selected through selection of the standards can be manually selected if desired. This also applies to the process attributes and this could be useful when moving up the capability levels.
Also in a similar way as with processes, it is possible to manually select an outcome (or attribute at higher levels) that has been automatically selected. This initially would not have any effect but if the standards were to change where the outcome was not required, the manually selected outcome would remain selected.
